Kennet Miniaturists was set up in 1999 by Rosemary and Sue for like-minded dollshouse enthusiasts. Unlike many clubs, there is no Chair or committee. We are simply a group of friends who meet regularly – usually once a month, to do a dollshouse ‘make’ and have a chat and refreshments. Sessions can be run by any of the members who have a successful make to show to others.
While the object of the meetings is to work on the small project supplied, some members come for the opportunity to chat, and to make their own ongoing project. Members can also bring along items they have made to display, or sell to others if they want.
If you want to join, please contact me thorough the website. While the club is the Thatcham and Newbury club, anyone is welcome to attend, but as makes often involve a prepared kit, please let me know in time if you intend to come, as extra kits can take time to make.
